K-12 Programs
> Challenger Learning Center (www.clccs.org)
A space-based learning environment where school children, families, senior citizens, corporate teams, and others fly simulated space missions. The Center features a Mission Control Center modeled after the one at Johnson Space Center and an International Space Station simulator where experiments are performed and probes are "launched." The Center also offers distance-delivered "e-Missions," where students participate in simulated science-related missions via streamlined broadband Internet technology.

A nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging and assisting African American and other underrepresented youth in the pursuit and attainment of career choices in the engineering and applied science professions.
> CO FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) (www.coloradofirst.org)
A nonprofit organization that designs accessible and innovative programs to build self-confidence, knowledge and life skills, while motivating young people to pursue opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Students receive hands-on engineering experience and benefit from partnerships with industry mentors. The FIRST Robotics Competition is an exciting, multinational competition that teams professionals and young people to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way.

A program of the Colorado Minority Engineering Association to increase the numbers of economically disadvantaged and underrepresented college students in engineering, math and science-based fields.
> Discovery Science Center (www.dcsm.org)
A hands-on science and technology center equipped with 120 interactive exhibits to make science learning engaging for children and the whole family. It also provides educational programs, traveling exhibitions, and an astronomy program presented inside the Center’s inflatable Starlab Planetarium.
> Federation of Galaxy Explorers (www.foge.org)
A national, nonprofit after-school program to engage and educate students in space-related science and engineering. Students attend monthly “Mission Team” meetings and periodic field trips, where they are given a hands-on understanding of space science, earth science, engineering and rocketry. There are currently three Colorado FOGE Mission Teams located in the Colorado Springs area.

An educational organization that helps identify and prepare students for a career in aviation and aerospace, specializing in aviation education, astronaut education, NASA education, and aerospace education. Shades of Blue also assists educators develop curricula that will prepare students for careers in these industries.
> Space Science Institute (www.spacescience.org)
A nonprofit corporation that provides the opportunity for researchers and educators to jointly expand knowledge of the space sciences. Five major branches: Research, Flight Operations, Education, Business Operations, and Information Systems and Technology. Develops traveling exhibits and professional development workshops for scientists and educators, education planning for the research community, and instructional materials.

Wings Over the Rockies inspires and educates upcoming generations of aerospace and aviation workers by sponsoring and hosting a wide-range of fun, exciting educational programs for youth of all ages.
