Metro Denver’s aerospace companies and organizations focus on a wide variety of areas, from research and development to the design and manufacture of space vehicles, navigation and detection instruments, satellites and other communications and imaging equipment. Aerospace companies also produce planetary spacecraft and launch systems and provide mission support.
The region’s aerospace industry offers a wide-array of jobs focused on commercial, military and non-military space applications. Many of the nation’s top aerospace contractors have significant operations in Colorado as do hundreds of other space-related companies.
Colorado is home to major Department of Defense facilities, NASA research operations and first-rate aerospace engineering and technical programs offered through the state's colleges and universities.
