ABOUT US
The Metro Denver WIRED Initiative was largely funded through a four-year federal grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. The grant started in early 2006 and finished at the end of January 2010.
The vision of WIRED, to create a home-grown skilled workforce for the region’s fastest growing high-wage industries including aerospace, bioscience, energy, and information technology-software, is now being sustained through the various programs the grant funded and the many partnerships the grant helped create.
One of the primary ways WIRED worked to achieve this mission was by informing individuals about the breadth of terrific opportunities in these industries. MetroDenverCareers.com is designed to provide basic information about these industries, jobs in the industries, and education and skills needed for these jobs.
